Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is an American author of cookery books as well as Emmy Award-winning host of Food Network's longest-running program Barefoot Contessa which began broadcasting in 2002 and will run for 27 seasons until 2020. Ina Garten started her professional career at the White House where she wrote nuclear energy policies and budget papers. While she found it intellectually stimulating initially eventually she dropped interest and decided to purchase a smaller specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. It took her nearly 18 years to turn the store into wildly successful, before she sold the business. After that, she started writing one of her cookbooks. A number of other books and magazines followed. Her Food Network TV show also was launched, and was a huge success. Additionally, she offers everything from equipment to cooking items and even containers. Ina did not go to a cookery school nor was she employed in a restaurant. Her education is completely self-taught. She is known for her straightforward method of cooking, and her effortless entertaining. She is well-known for her quick and easy recipes, such as Skillet Roasted Lemon Chicken Macaroni, Cheese and made with beef Bourguignon, and Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
