Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actress, performer, and writer, best known for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The actress began her career in stage shows during the 1950s starting in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Following that, she performed on Broadway for a number of shows until the year 1957, when Li'l Abner made it huge at the National Theater. The same year, she released her first musical album, It's Tina Time. Louise began her journey into Hollywood as Griselda Walden on God's Little Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The film received a lot of praise as well as Louise was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. In the course of this film, she was began her studies at Actors Studio in New York and developed her association with Lee Strasberg as his student. The actress joined CBS in 1964 to portray Ginger Grant. Louise had a successful career in Hollywood as well as Broadway, playing somber characters that reflected her reputation as a the glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she has also made an impact as a director who has been successful in numerous well-known TV shows like Supernatural and The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on August 28, 1965. Her family relocated to Toronto when she was just three and she continued to live there throughout growing up and in adolescence. When she was selected in 1997 for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has been living there since then.
