Lita Rossana Ford is born in the United Kingdom and was an American guitarist, vocalist, and music writer. The latter half of the 1970s she was a guitarist in the hard rocking All-girl group The Runaways. It wasn't possible for the band to be a major hit in America however they did gain a fair amount of attention in other countries and in particular Japan. Ford's solo career in heavy metal was successful after the 1979 group break-up. After taking lessons in singing, she debuted her own solo album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin' On The Edge'. Her albums weren't very popular and she went on hiatus for several years. The year was 1988, when she released her hit album "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were among her greatest hits. Her success was unfortunately short lived and for several years after, she went under the radar. The album's release Black in 1995 followed by a fifteen year wait for 'Wicked wonderland. in 2016, the most recent album, 'Time Capsule, was released.
