Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford, is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who was the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics helped them get noticed in the rock world. It was not possible for the band to be an instant hit in the United States, however they did gain a fair amount of attention in other countries, especially Japan. Ford launched a solo heavy-metal career following the split of her group in 1979. After receiving voice lessons, Ford released her debut solo album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin in the Edge". Ford's albums were not very well-received and she stayed away for a couple of years. In 1988, Ford returned to the music scene by releasing a dazzling album titled 'Lita. Both the track "Kiss Me Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were big hits. Unfortunately, the success of her career wasn't lasting and over the course of several years, she was absent. The resurgence of her career came with releases of "Black" from 1995 and "Wicked Wonderland" which came out almost 15 years after. The album "Time Capsule" was made available by her in the year 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the award of a Certified Guitar Legend.
