Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford, is a British American musician, songwriter and guitarist who played lead guitar in the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics made them popular in the rock world. The group failed to achieve major success within the United States but earned huge popular internationally, especially in Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career when the group was disbanded in 1979. Following vocal training, she debuted her own solo album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin"On The Edge'. Ford was unable to achieve much with either album and remained out of the realm of rock for around an entire decade. In 1988, Ford returned to the music scene by releasing a dazzling album titled "Lita. Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were her most popular hit songs. However, the success of her career wasn't lasting and over the course of several years she disappeared. The album's release Black in 1995 followed by a fifteen year wait for 'Wicked wonderland. Her most recent album "Time Capsule" was released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
