Lita Rossana Ford (also also known in the form of Lita Ford) is a British born American guitarist who was as the lead vocalist of The Runaways a female hard rock group from the 1970s. The group was admired for their rebellious lyrics and punkish design. While the group did not make much progress in America however they became extremely popular overseas. This was especially true in Japan. Ford started her own heavy-metal career after the disbandment of her group in 1979. She took voice lessons and then released her debut solo album , 'Out for Blood' followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge.
