Lita Rossana Ford is popularly referred to as Lita Ford, is a British American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics helped them get noticed within the world of rock. The group did not have an enormous following in their home country of the United States. However, the group's popularity increased abroad especially in Japan. Ford started a metal solo career when the group broke up in 1979. After taking lessons in singing, she debuted her own solo album, called 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin on the Edge'. Ford disappeared for a few decades from the world of music following the albums' failure to get the attention they deserved. The hit album "Lita" was launched by Ford in the year 1988. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both were huge hits. However, the popularity of her career was not lasting and over the course of several years she disappeared. In 1995 she debuted "Black," and 15 years later 'Wicked Wonderland. She released her latest album Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend award.
