Lita Rossana Ford She was born in the United Kingdom and was an American singer, guitarist and songwriter. In the late 70s she was the lead guitarist for the hard-rocking all-girl group The Runaways. It was not possible for The Runaways to become a major hit in America however they did gain a fair amount of acclaim in other nations and in particular Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career after the band broke up in 1979. After taking vocal lessons she debuted her own solo album, called 'Out for Blood'. In 1988, Ford returned to the scene by releasing a dazzling album titled "Lita. The single 'Kiss Me Deadly and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever were both huge hits. The popularity of her was short-lived, and she disappeared for a few years. Her re-emergence was with the releases of "Black" which came out in 1995 and "Wicked Wonderland", almost 15 years after. Her latest album was released Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
