Lita Rossana Ford (also commonly referred to by the name Lita Ford) is a British born American guitar vocalist who played the lead for The Runaways a female hard rock group in the 1970s. They were noticed for their rebellious lyrics and punk-inspired style. It was not possible for the group to be an instant hit in the United States, however, they enjoyed a great deal of attention in other countries particularly Japan. Ford had a long and prosperous career as a heavy-metal solo musician after the group broke up together in 1979. She began to take voice lessons before releasing her debut album "Out For Blood" and then "Dancin" on the Edge. Ford was absent from the scene for several years after the albums did not be a huge success. The smash hit 'Lita' was released in the year 1989. Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were her biggest songs. The success of her was brief and after a couple of years after, she went under the radar. The release of Black in 1995 was followed by a fifteen-year delay for the album 'Wicked Wonderland. Her latest album was released Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the Certified Guitar Legend award.
