Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British-born American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who played lead guitar in the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics allowed them to be noticed throughout the world of rock. The band did not enjoy any fans in The United States. However, their popularity grew overseas, particularly in Japan. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and prosperous career as a solo artist after the group split up in 1979. She began taking voice classes and then released her first album "Out for Blood", followed by "Dancin" on the Edge. The albums of Ford were not particularly popular and she went on hiatus for several years. The singer returned in 1988 with her wildly successful album 'Lita, which debuted in 1988. The lead single "Kiss Me Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" became huge hit songs. Unfortunately, the success of her career wasn't last long and after a few years, she was absent. Her return came when she released 'Black' in 1995. Then she released 'Wicked wonderland' almost 15 years later. In 2016, her most recent album, 'Time Capsule, was released. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the award of a Certified Guitar Legend.
