Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford as she is popularly known, was an American-born British singer and guitarist who led the female-only hard rock band The Runaways during the late 1970s. The group wasn't popular in The United States, it gained enormous popularity overseas. Following the split of the group in 1979, Ford began a successful solo career in the world of heavy metal. She took vocal lessons and recorded her first solo album , 'Out for Blood' and 'Dancin' On the Edge. Ford failed to make any success with either record and remained out of the realm of rock for around an entire decade. The hit album "Lita" was made available by Ford in the year 1988. the single 'Kiss me Deadly' and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' both became huge success. However, her popularity was not long-lasting and she disappeared from the industry for several years. In 1995 she debuted "Black" and fifteen years later 'Wicked Wonderland. "Time Capsule" was her album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
