Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British American musician, songwriter and guitarist who was the lead guitarist of the all-girl rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics allowed them to be noticed in the rock world. It wasn't possible for the band to be a major hit in America however, they enjoyed a great deal of acclaim in other nations, especially Japan. Ford started her own heavy-metal career following the split of her band in 1979. After taking vocal lessons, she released her first solo album "Out for Blood" which was followed by "Dancin on the Edge". Ford vanished for some time from the scene after the two albums didn't draw much attention. Her smashing hit, 'Lita was released in the year 1989. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both became big hits. Unfortunately, her popularity was brief and she disappeared from the industry for several decades. Her re-emergence was with the releases of "Black" which came out in 1995, and "Wicked Wonderland" nearly fifteen years later. In 2016, she released her latest album of studio work "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
