Lita Rossana Ford is born in the United Kingdom and was an American singer, guitarist, and writer. In the latter part of the 70s, she was the lead guitarist for the hard-rocking all-girl band The Runaways. It was not possible for The Runaways to become a major hit in America however they did gain a fair amount of attention in other countries and in particular Japan. Ford started her own heavy-metal career after the breakup from her band in 1979. She took vocal lessons and recorded her first solo album , 'Out for Blood' followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford's albums were not very successful and she disappeared for a few years. In 1988, she came back to the music scene with a smashing album called "Lita. The single 'Kiss Me Deadly and the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever' both became huge hit songs. The popularity of her was temporary, and she was gone for several years. She re-emerged after the release of 'Black in 1995. Then she released 'Wicked wonderland' about 15 years later. She released her latest album Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
