Lita Rossana Ford (also called Lita Ford is an American musician, singer and guitarist who was born in Britain. She was the lead guitarist as a member of The Runaways, a hard-rock group made up of girls in late 1970s. Their punkish music and rebellious lyrics got them noticed by the rock community. The band was never able to the group to be a major hit in America however, they enjoyed a great deal of popularity in other countries and in particular Japan. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and successful career as a heavy-metal solo musician after the group broke up together in 1979. She began taking voice classes and then released her first album "Out For Blood" which was followed by "Dancin" on the Edge. Ford did not achieve much with either album and disappeared from the world of rock for about 10 years. She returned with a bang in 1988 with her wildly successful album , 'Lita' which came out in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly was a major hit, along with the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. However, her success was only not long-lasting and, for a few more years, she disappeared. Then she returned when she released 'Black' in 1995 and 'Wicked Wonderland nearly 15 years after. In 2016, she released her latest album of studio work "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
