Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford as she is most commonly referred to as, was an American-born British musician and vocalist who led the female-only hard rock band The Runaways during the late 1970s. It wasn't possible for the band to be a major hit in America however, they enjoyed a great deal of attention in other countries particularly Japan. Ford had a long and prosperous career as a solo heavy metal musician after the group broke up up in 1979. She took vocal lessons and released her first solo album , 'Out for Blood' followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge. Her albums weren't very well-received and she stayed away for several years. The year was 1988, when she released her hit album "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly was a major hit, along with the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. Unfortunately her success was short-lived and she was absent from the industry for several years. Re-emerging with albums "Black" from 1995 as well as "Wicked Wonderland", almost fifteen years later. The album she released was Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
