Lita Rossana Ford (also known as Lita Ford, is an American musician, singer and guitarist who was born in the UK. She was a lead guitarist as a member of The Runaways, a hard-rock group comprised of girls in late 1970s. Their punkish music and raunchy lyrics made them recognized by the rock world. The band was never able to the group to be a major hit in America however, they enjoyed a great deal of attention in other countries and in particular Japan. Ford started a metal solo career after the band broke up in 1979. She took vocal lessons and then released her debut solo album 'Out for Blood then 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford went missing for several years from the music scene as the two albums failed to draw the attention they deserved. The year was 1988, when she released her hit album "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly was a major hit, along with the ballad Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. However, her fame was temporary, and she was gone for a few years. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, as well as 'Wicked Wonderland just 15 years later, it was back in the spotlight. She released her latest album Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
