Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford is a British American musician, songwriter and guitarist who played lead guitar of the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics allowed them to be noticed throughout the world of rock. The band didn't have any fans in their home country of the United States. However, their fame grew internationally and especially in Japan. Ford had a long and prosperous career as a solo artist after the group split together in 1979. She began voice lessons, and released her first solo album 'Out for Blood then 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford failed to make any success with either record and was largely absent from the world of rock for around an entire decade. The year was 1988, when Ford released her smash album "Lita". The single 'Kiss Me Deadly and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever' were both major success. Unfortunately, the success of her career was not long-lasting and for several years, she was absent. Following the release of 'Black' in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland, 15 years later she reemerged. in 2016, the latest album, 'Timecapsule', was made available. Her name was given The Certified Guitar Legend Award by the Guitar Player Magazine.
