Lita Rossana Ford She was born in Britain and was an American musician, singer, and songwriter. In the latter part of the 70s, she was the lead guitar for the hard-rocking all-girl group The Runaways. The group was not able to make a significant impact in the United States but earned huge popularity overseas especially in Japan. Ford began a solo heavy metal career after the breakup of her band in 1979. After taking vocal lessons, Ford released her debut solo album "Out for Blood" followed by "Dancin in the Edge". Ford went missing from the music scene for a few years following the albums did not become popular. In 1988, she returned to the scene by releasing a dazzling album titled 'Lita.
