Lita Rossana Ford She was born in Britain and was an American singer, guitarist and writer. In the latter part of the 70s, she played as the guitarist in the hard rocking All-girl group The Runaways. The group failed to gain a lot of attention within The United States but earned huge popularity overseas especially in Japan. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and prosperous career as a solo heavy metal artist after the group split from 1979. She began taking voice classes followed by her first album "Out to Blood" and then "Dancin" at the Edge. Ford went missing from the music scene for a few years following the albums did not gain much popularity. It was 1988 when she debuted her most successful album "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were two of her biggest songs. Unfortunately her popularity was only temporary, and she was gone for a few years. The release of Black in 1995 was followed by fifteen year wait for 'Wicked wonderland. The most recent album 'Time Capsule was launched in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
