Lisa Olivia Munn is a native of Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid lived in Vietnam with Chinese ancestry while Winston Barrett Munn's clan has roots deep in the American South. Olivia was only two when her parents separated. She was raised by both her mother and stepfather who was also a United States Air Force member. They left Oklahoma, and lived in several places, but she lived the majority of her life in Tokyo. During this time she performed in several local theatre productions. Later, she was a model for the Japanese fashion industry. Olivia moved from to the United States back to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming an actor. Olivia's career began to take off after just a couple of tiny roles. She landed the part of Mily in the Hawaii-lensed series Beyond the Break (2005) as well as the role of receptionist in the film Big Stan starring Rob Schneider in Big Stan (2006). The show's host is "The Daily Nut", "Formula D", and "The Formula D Podcasts" on G4. Surfing is her passion and she has been practicing it since the TV series Beyond the Break (2006). She also has an black belt in Taekwondo. At the age of two, old, her mother got married again, this time to a member from the US Air Force. While the family moved several times throughout her life, she was born in Tokyo, Japan, where her stepfather's military was stationed. Attending her at University of Oklahoma where she was a journalism major, with minors of Japanese and dramatic art.
